Our research group is interested in new methodologies in organic synthesis and sustainable technologies. We research new ways towards bioactive compounds via asymmetric organocatalysis and metal catalysis employing mechanochemistry.
Asymmetric organocatalysis
Development of new organocatalysts, domino reactions and applications in syntheses of bioactive compounds.
Metal catalyzed reactions
Cross-coupling reactions, copper-catalyzed transformations, reactions of metal enolates.
Mechanochemistry
Development of catalytic transformations under mechanochemical activation.
Medicinal chemistry
Improving syntheses of medicinally relevant compounds and development of new antivirals.
Teaching
Teaching of organic chemistry, mechanisms of organic reactions, organometallic chemistry, asymmetric catalysis, green chemistry, industrial chemistry.
Other activities
